When: 1 p.m. CT

Where: Jones High School, Orlando, Fla.

WHO IS INVOLVED?

Ole Miss got to the party late for Jackson after four-star quarterback commit Demond Williams decommitted and ultimately flipped to Arizona. The Rebels didn't offer Jackson until July 8, but he was on the Oxford campus for a visit just a few weeks later and a few days prior to Juice Fest. Was it a reaction offer to Williams flipping out of the class? It's hard to see it as anything other, but Lane Kiffin and Charlie Wies Jr. were prepared. The also brought Illinois quarterback commit and Starkville native Trey Petty to campus, but Jackson was there man. The Rebels went all in on the gun slinger from Disney.

Ole Miss is going up against SEC rival Texas A&M, future SEC rival Oklahoma and soon-to-be Big 10 member UCLA for Jackson.

OUR CRYSTAL BALL

I set my 247Sports Crystal Ball on Jackson to Ole Miss and was the first to do so. It was followed by a Crystal Ball from national analyst Steve Wiltfong. Those are the only two Crystal Balls on Jackson's profile as of this writing. - David Johnson

HIGH SCHOOL STATS, ETC.

As a junior, completed 59.3 percent of his passes for 1,559 yards with 16 TD to go against 7 INT. Also carried the ball 52 times for 306 yards and 6 more scores. Posted a 7-2 record as the starter at Winter Garden West Orange, which won a district title in Florida’s new 4M classification.

He also won the "Rail Shot Challenge" at the Elite 11 Finals this summer. The Rail Shot Challenge is a two-day competition between America's best quarterback prospects. All 20 QBs at the event threw to a specified area on the field to test accuracy. Day two consisted of each QB's "Pro Day," which was their chance to show off their arm, throwing various routes.

SCOUTING REPORT

A promising quarterback prospect with a live arm and a good feel for the pocket. Seems to be his best when he’s attacking the intermediate parts of the field as he can rip a tight spiral and hit his marks. Doesn’t have a ton of varsity experience under his belt, but flashed as a junior in one of the Sunshine State’s higher classifications while coordinating a modern spread system that moved him around and offered up plenty of play-action looks. Can evade pressure and beat defenders with his legs, but isn’t the type of signal caller that is just looking to take off and run as he will keep his eyes down field and let his targets finish their routes. Must keep progressing as a passer and cut down on the turnovers, but smooth release and overall suddenness as an athlete could be well worth the investment for someone. Should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter at the Power Five level. Will likely need plenty of time to develop at the school of his choice, but has some of what’s required to win games on Saturdays. - Andrew Ivins
